In this fast-paced, ever-growing industry, generally, students feel pressure to enhance their academic and curricular skills. However, amidst this rush, a very crucial chapter of developing soft skills is often overlooked and ignored. JD Institute of Fashion Technology, as a space responsible for the growth of upcoming youth, wanted to make sure that students do not miss out on the overall growth of skills as well as personality.

Keeping this in our focus, on 17th July 2021, we invited Ms. Archana to conduct a session on ways to improve public speaking and other soft skills. A well-known person in the field of Human Resources(HR), she is also an excellent soft skills trainer. She imparted students with key insights on the importance of nonverbal communication along with verbal communication. Also covering how students can build and incorporate these skills.

Since Ms. Archana is also a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Coach, in the workshop she continued to discuss the concept of communication in every sphere of life. She also shared her stories and life adventures, how she had been an avid traveler, giving students a sneak peek into the ways to balance life. Brought up in an army household, the constant transit and transfer taught her to adapt and stabilize, which she tried teaching the students in the workshop as well.

Coming from a certified Image Consultant, the various pieces of advice will turn out to be very helpful to all the students. Following the guidance she provided, students will be able to communicate and express themselves more confidently in walks of life. The workshop was an enormous success because of her intellect and humble presence.
