  1. Draw a vertical line between the center of the paper: This line that stretches from the head to feet displays the center of balance of the fashion figures. 
  2. Divide the paper into nine equal sections: These nine equal sections include the fashion figure’s feet, head, ankles, waist, bust, thigh, waist, hips and calves. You can draw equal horizontal lines of an inch in order to separate the nine sections.
  3. Draw the pelvic area in the middle of the balance line: You need to draw a square to showcase the fashion figure’s pelvis. This can be particularly angled in different directions to create the vision of different body poses.
  4. Draw the torso and shoulders: You can draw two lines towards the top of the pelvic square in order to create the torso. These lines can then be curved inward and outward again to create the waist. The shoulder lines can be angled in order to create a round forward shoulder pose. It will be of the same width as of the pelvic square. 
  5. Draw the neck and head: You can draw a circle for the head and the neck should be one-third of the width of the shoulder. 
  6. Draw the legs: The figure’s legs is supposedly four times the length of the head. The legs are further divided into thighs and calves. The thighs should be of the same length of the head whereas ankles are one-fourth size of the head. 
  7. Draw the arms: Create the arms by drawing lines to the elbow and then to the wrist. The arms can be positioned on the figure’s body or hips. 
  8. Draw the feet: You need to draw the feet that are approximately that of the length of the figure’s head.
  9. Create your fashion design: Now that you have designed your fashion figure sketch, you can begin building design creations on your fashion figure’s top.
