In the times of pandemic to beat the blues JD institute is happy to bring #GetSetCreate to all the Design Enthusiasts from the country. GetSet Create – The excitement we are ready for ! This design competition is particularly focused on the agenda of 2021.Competition began with the briefing session on 20th May 2021 with Mr. Padma Raj Keshri – Associate Head and Mr. Ankur Gulati – Head of Departments. The objective of this session was to showcase the flow and timeline of the competition with details about themes how to participate.
The session elaborated the essence of the competition and how it’s a way of beating the blues during pandemic in the eyes of JD Institute. The ups and downs may have come but Imagination knows no boundaries, considering JD Institute and its budding design enthusiasts. Keeping in mind the digitized briefing the session was well detailed. It received a great number of participation from JD Institute campuses across. 1. Project Recovery “the better normal” – Identify and assess the current problem and provide a short term/long term solution.The objectives are to mobilize designers to contribute their skills to the challenges of the coronavirus spread, turn anxieties into action, and use design thinking skills to help us get through the pandemic situation. The COVID-19 Design Challenge is a global initiative to mobilize the world’s design communities to focus on this battle. Essential workers are in dire circumstances without the time, resources, nor protection to meet urgent needs. Concepts and solutions for this offer safety measures, foster wellbeing, sand simplify key processes, enabling our frontline workers to carry out their duty safely and securely. Redesign the Uniform and add aesthetics and also solution welcome for reuse of bio waste. With keywords that include: Revover, Heal, Innovate, Survivor, Promote, Full circle, Vicious, Full of life, Zestful, Zeal, Energy, Enthusiasm
2. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: Whole world is one single family the current problem Show the world as a global community, your creative interpretation should show solidarity beyond boundaries. The uniqueness of this philosophy is, even while recognizing individuality of personal space, we have been emphasizing more on collectivism. “The understanding of both these features has the potential of providing a healing touch in these circumstances and that is what is needed. The philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam seeks to overcome the ‘us-vs-them’ mentality, which is at the root of conflict and violence. The leading International Theory, namely, realism is based on the concept of ‘the other’. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam reflects the universal yearning of mankind. The philosophy transcends any specific religion. It emphasizes inclusion. This philosophy is deeply ingrained in the Indian psyche. 3. Podarok : Thank you to the Corona Warriors – To applaud the efforts of our front line workers , create a thank you package. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, not only doctors, nurses, and ward boys but our delivery persons, ration shop owners, and vegetable-fruits vendors, etc., have played a crucial role by providing us timely access to all the necessary items important for survival during all the months of the pandemic. Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, timely delivery of essential services by taking all precautionary measures to curb the spread of the virus. Therefore, let us thank these coronavirus helpers who have been making our lives smooth during the ongoing pandemic. As thanking somebody is the biggest form of appreciation and motivation, send these quotes and messages to doctors, nurses, delivery staff, farmers, teachers, researchers, sanitation workers, grocery workers, and emergency services workers, and others who have been constantly assisting in the fight against the Coronavirus. Get Set Create is an open art, fashion and design which encompasses a huge opportunity and choice to choose from. There are three themes which are based on current social scenario. It is a unique way to express freedom of expression for the betterment of society, as there is a human touch to the themes revolving around it. Through this competition we are looking forward to watch our enthusiastic Jediiians and designers in making molding their ideas into new shapes and bringing out the best of the Designer in them. With the correct measures we are healing and what could be a better way to express than feeling and reflecting on the journey and presenting the perspective to create the best.
