What is GAT ?

General aptitude test has been carefully drafted by the department to help the institution and student alike understand his/her existing creative skills. The candidate’s abilities will be assessed through different testing formats giving maximum priority to how each task is approached. The nature of this test would be more qualitative, giving candidates the opportunity to put their problem solving and creative thinking skills to use.

In order to secure admission in Under graduate and Post graduate courses offered by JD INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY, aspirants need to appear for GENERAL APTITUDE TEST (GAT)

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS (JD INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY) - Candidate must have done graduation/ 3year diploma in any discipline from a recognized university.

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS (INDUSTRIAL COLLABORATION WITH SUBHARTI UNIVERSITY, MEERUT) - Candidate must have done graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.

  • Candidates will register themselves as a new user by entering details in the details form. You will receive verification email and message on registered number. Once verified you will be routed to application form.
  • Enter all the details related to personal info, qualifying degree, course applied for, work experience, family details, etc. Upload a passport size photograph with class 10th, +2 and graduation degree.

Documents Required

  • Make a payment of the application fee via modes like credit/debit card, net banking or UPI.
  • Once the payment is confirmed you will receive your admit card within 3 days
  • Mark your presence for Test on May 15 ,2021
  • Receive intimation through mail about your selection.
  • On successfully clearing the Test, you must submit the booking amount of Rs. 35000/- within 3 days to block your seat.
  • On successful payment of the seat booking amount, the candidate will be provided with the Admission mail from the Admissions Department confirming his/ her admission to the opted program. After this, the candidate will be required to submit the 1st semester fees as per his/ her payment plan on the stipulated date by the Academic Counselor.
  • NOTE: It is mandatory for the applicants to get the Receipt and Acknowledgement duly signed by the Admissions Department after any payment they make during the session.
  • The Application Fee can be paid via the Following Modes:
    • Credit Card / Debit Card – VISA, MASTER CARD, RUPAY AND MAESTRO
    • Cash on Counter
    • UPI
    • Netbanking

    • Candidates should carry a hard/soft copy of the admit card on the test day. Candidates appearing online should keep the soft copy of the admit card ready with them.
    • Kindly check your internet connections 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the test.
    • Usage of mobile phones is not allowed during the test.
    • Mention your details correctly on the answer script/ test submission to carry forward the evaluation process.
    • Any incorrect or incomplete test submissions will not be evaluated or processed further.
    • Results will be declared as a sum total of the two rounds.
    • The decision of the jury panel will be abiding by and would stand final.
    • Candidate needs to confirm the seat by making the requisite payment within 3 days of the result declaration, failing which the admission would stand cancelled and the application fee paid will be lapsed.

    • What is the syllabus?
      GAT and Interview is a platform where we observe your creativity and sense of imagination, how you interpret a given topic. Through the interview, we would want to know your commitment level and the passion to pursue your chosen course, hence there is no prescribed syllabus for GAT.
    • What is the marking scheme?
      Marking scheme is divided into two parts as 60:40, Creative is 60% whereas interview is 40%.
    • Will it be difficult to clear this test?
      It will be a test of your creative aptitude and spontaneity. Maintaining your calm and being yourself in the personal interview will help you to clear it easily.
    • How much time should I keep in hand for test day?
      Creative (GAT)would be for 1:30 minutes and personal interview will be for 30 min. (Maximum)
    • What if I have already paid the application fee?
      You can contact our academic counselors and get yourself registered for GAT.
    • I couldn’t complete my payment process.
      Contact our academic counselors and they will assist you.
    • Money got deducted from my bank account but it shows the payment is incomplete.
      The debited amount generally gets reversed in 3 working days. You may contact your bank helpline and share the transaction ID to get the amount credited.
    • I didn’t receive an admit card after paying the application fees?
      You can contact at the helpline number or drop an email at the helpline email id.
    • I don’t have the required documents.
      Please contact our academic counselors and seek assistance.
    • What if I can’t make it for the test on the specified date.
      Wait for our next cycle announcement and register yourself accordingly.
    • What preparation should be done for the personal interview?
      Personal interview is a test for the candidate’s spontaneity; Just be yourself!
    • How will I get to know the result?
      You will receive an email from our end on the Result date if you are selected for next step.
