JD Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, hosted a glamorous fresher’s party for a 2018-2021 batch at Social, Hauz Khas Village on 24^th October 2018. The theme of the day was “Back to Blingy 80s”. The party saw a fashionable streak of students dressed in big, bold and vibrant garments inspired by 80’s era. It was part of the institute’s 30 years celebrations and students felt the distinct vibe of 80s fashion.

On the occasion, Ms Rupal Dalal, Executive Director, JD Institute of Fashion Technology said, “2018 has been a significant year for JD Institute as we complete three decades of fashion, style and design education. We are happy to celebrate the success and glorious journey with our new batch today. We welcome the new set of ambassadors to the family of Jediiians. I wish you all the very best for your endeavours. We will ensure that you all have an exciting journey ahead.”

The programme saw numerous enthralling dance and musical performances including ramp walk based on which Mr and Miss Fresher for the year were selected. The students were marked on the walk, dressing sense and presentation. All the students tried their best to impress the judges on stage.

The party was a hit among the new students as they enjoyed introducing themselves, posing for pictures and performing various tasks given to them by the hosts. There was a grand jam session and the students tapped their feet on fast tracks of Bollywood songs.

The party concluded with the freshers taking home some beautiful momentos to commemorate the day, given none other than Ms Rina Dhaka and Ms Rita Gangwani.
