A proclaimed luxury couture designer from the class of 1992 was accredited for taking Indian fashion to Hollywood circuits, with his glamorous and spectacular design. With this meticulously curated course, a student will qualify for a dual certification and on successful completion is awarded a Diploma Certificate from the Institute, along with a Bachelor in Design degree from the Subharti University. The four-year course is particularly designed to prepare the students with a wide range of skill sets complemented with cutting edge industry knowledge, contemporary technological know-how and innovative ‘research, prototyping & analytical training’. Substantial duration is provided for Industry Internship, enabling them to bridge what they have learnt to apply and contribute to the Industry, be it export manufacturing or pure design-centric, design research based organisation.
B. Des. Communication programme is a four-year (eight semesters) professional graduate programme that emphasizes designing and advertising. The programme provides the students with national and international exposure in the field through a strong foundation on theoretical concepts and stressing on continuous professional practical work. Through thorough guidance, internships and field studies the programme aims to make the students industry-ready during the course period. JD Fashion Awards is a platform where the young talent is seen judged and awarded. It is this platform on which the internationally renowned designers Rocky S, Gaurav Chabbra, Shane & Falguni Peacock were discovered and recognised. Brands like Harley Davidson, The Leela were awarded for their contribution in the fashion industry. The two-day glamorous event features not only the upcoming talent but also the masters of the trade with an audience of around 10,000.
